Perseverance

We spurn despair and strive to complete tasks to the best of our abilities, regardless of the difficulty. We respond creatively to overcome obstacles and ask for help when necessary.

Quote of the Week

“So be sure when you step, step with care and great tact. And remember that life’s a Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed!) Kid, you’ll move mountains!”

~Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You’ll Go

Friday, 11/9 HOMEWORK

Due to the high number of absences on Friday, I am posting this weekend’s homework. :)

Language Arts
·         If you haven’t already, please write a concluding sentence for your expository paragraph on Dictionopolis.
·         Please read chapter 10 of The Phantom Tollbooth. Write a summary of this chapter; this should be about ¾ of a page long. Also complete one vocabulary notecard with a word from chapter 10.
·         **Review Point of View because we took a quiz on it today and you will make this quiz up on Monday.

Science
·         Complete the notes on the types of Animal Cells by going through the Power Point (which you have a copy of). Click here if you need a copy. :)
·         Make a flash card for each of the types of Animal Cells.
·         Study for the Science test on Animal Cells; it will be on Wednesday. You can find a study guide by scrolling down to a recent post.

History
·         If you haven’t already, please make an Encomienda fold. There are pictures of this below to help you. The pages that correlate to this activity are 138-139. (We did not read more of the History textbook in class on Friday.)
