Perseverance

We spurn despair and strive to complete tasks to the best of our abilities, regardless of the difficulty. We respond creatively to overcome obstacles and ask for help when necessary.

Quote of the Week

“So be sure when you step, step with care and great tact. And remember that life’s a Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed!) Kid, you’ll move mountains!”

~Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You’ll Go

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” -Cicero

Today for morning work, your child made a thank-you card for someone that has shown him/her an act of kindness recently. The students will celebrate the great hearted acts of those in their lives by making thank-you cards each Thursday. My goal is to teach the students that it is important to show thanks for even the smallest acts of thoughtfulness. I also feel that as we go about our busy days living in our current age of technology (which shines a spotlight on quick and easy electronic communication) we sometimes forget the value of a handwritten thank you. I hope you find this small activity as enriching as I do.

Appreciatively ;),
