Perseverance

We spurn despair and strive to complete tasks to the best of our abilities, regardless of the difficulty. We respond creatively to overcome obstacles and ask for help when necessary.

Quote of the Week

“So be sure when you step, step with care and great tact. And remember that life’s a Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed!) Kid, you’ll move mountains!”

Jump Rope for Heart!

Here is a message for the students about Jump Rope for Heart from Mrs. Knight:

Jump Rope for Heart forms came home this week! Please keep these forms and take the time to look over them.  You do NOT have to turn in the permission slip portion of the form, because all of our students participate in the activity during regular P.E. classes.  Our Jump Rope for Heart days are January 31 and February 1.  The best and easiest way to collect donations for the American Heart Association is to have your parents go online with you to heart.org/jump and take about 2 minutes to create your own page.  We will watch the DVD in class on how to do that, but it is extremely easy.  Two students have already set up their pages online and have already raised $210 for our school team!  WAY TO GO! Remember, students are not required to raise money; this is a family decision. Also keep in mind that none of the money actually goes to our school. It goes to the American Heart Association to help those in need of heart surgeries and medication, as well as to research that leads to healthier hearts.

Thank you!
